sometimes the sum function will dissappear
i'm using excel 2002. do you know that tool down at the bottom that will add
the numbers in all the cells that you select? quite often it will stop working. does anyone know how to get it working again. also could you please tell me how i look up the threads that i've started? it's obvious. i've tried looking in the user control panel and i don't see it anywhere. |

Click on your name and then recent posts in the window that opens.

Are you selecting more than one cell when the statusbar fails?
How does it fail? If you're using Sum or Max or any numeric function, are you sure that the values are numeric--not just text? sometimes the sum function will dissappear
Right-click on the Status Bar and make sure you are not set to "none"
