Default Multiple Custom Toolbars

Hi All,

I have just been "upgraded" to Office 2007 from 2002 and been able to create
several custom toolbars (thanks to all the helpful info from Dave P, Debra D
and Ron DB to be able to get this far!!)

What I'm now finding is that my toolbar menus seem to copying the previous
toolbar's settings and macros. The "new" toolbar works ok when I first
create it and add the add-in, but at some point it seems to lose it's link
and just duplicates the original toolbar's info.

If I remove and re-add the offending add-in toolbar it works as expected
until I shut down excel and then it's back to having two identical toolbars
(with the exception of their description and icon)

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to fix this? Thanks

I'm not quite sure I understand, but are you sure that you don't have multiple
versions (different filenames) that are opening?

I'd look in the VBE to see what workbooks/addins are open when the problem
occurs.

Then you can use something like this in the immediate window of the VBE:
?workbooks("someworkbookname.xla").fullname

Thanks for your reply Dave - the only other workbook that is open is my
personal.xls, so I don't think have multiple versions going.

I have used Ron DB's "my add-in.xlam" as the template and created 2 new
..xlam files that have been edited appropriately and saved as new .xlam
workbooks. When I add them individually to the QAT, they work fine and
display the correct menus.

It's when I try to "add-in" both of them at the same time, that the toolbar
icons seem to be calling the same .xlam file. And it changes according to
what order I add them.

I probably should have asked in the first place whether it's possible to
have more than one custom toolbar and how to go about it if so.

I didn't realize you were using xl2007. I don't know enough about how the
ribbon works to be helpful.
