Default Microsoft Excel

When I exit Excel it always asks me if I want to save the changes even if I
haven't made any changes. How do I stop it asking me this everytime I just go
in to view a spreadsheet?

Do you have a formula such as =TODAY() ?
If so, Excel recalculates that (and dependent) cells.
I suppose you could use Tools|Options to make Calculations manual rather
than automatic
best wishes

Thanks for the reply but it doesn't have anything to do with formulas, even
if you just open a new workbook and then try and close it, it still asks if
you want to save the changes.
