Hi Karla
you can change the width only for the complete column but not only for
single cells

You can merge selected cells, to create one wider cell:

Select the cells
Choose FormatCells
Select the Alignment tab
Check the 'Merge cells' box
Click OK

Merged cells can cause problems with sorting, and other activities, so
use them sparingly, or not at all.
