When I entered a formula into a cell it stays visible. I have tried several
different styles of format and the only change I have been able to get resulted in a #ref error. Any ideas would help. Thanks Trev |

Try formatting the cell as General (or anything but text).
Then reenter the formula. Or Try tools|Options|View tab|and uncheck Formulas (xl2003 menus) Trev wrote: When I entered a formula into a cell it stays visible. The cell may have been formatted as text before the formula was entered.
Select the cell, then right-click and select Format Cells. Format the cell as General (on the Number tab), then click OK. Press F2, then Enter. Another possibility is that you have accidentally toggled the view to display formulas rather than their results. Pressing Ctrl ` to toggle the view back to normal (` is to the left of the number 1). Hope this helps, Hutch "Trev" wrote: When I entered a formula into a cell it stays visible. Look on the data tab on the ribbon. You should be able to find it.
