Try this...
Select the cell(s) in question Goto the menu FormatCellsFont tab Select Strikethrough in the Effects group OK out -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "esmani" wrote in message ... Want to keep data entered, but show as not used or rejected by lining through the entry. |

You could select the relevant cells then Format Cells and select Effects
Strikethrough Although Conditional Formatting may be the way to go. What is the criteria for 'lining through' a cell? You can set up Conditional Formatting so when that criteria is met the cell(s) automatically line through.
