how to execute the fill function down a long column with out having to drag
the mouse all the way down?? |

how to execute the fill function down a long column
If an adjacent column is filled, just double-click on the fill handle to

"in Name Box enter A1:A2345 and Enter Then CTRL + D" you are genius .......... great from where did u learn such great things to do in short ?? Your first answer was good enough for my situation but the second didnt seem to work. Could you expand your steps using the following example You have a file with 5000 rows of information and you want to number each row 1 to 5000. I was assuming a formula in A1 when giving instructions.
For a series of incrementing numbers.................. Enter 1 in A1 In namebox type A1:A5000 and Enter EditFillSeriesLinearstep Value of 1 OR...........
