Default Font Colors not reflected on printouts

While using Excel 2003, I change the font color on some cells. When I try to
print the spread sheet on a black and white printer all text appears in black!

I tried it on another PC connected to the same printer and the cell that are
a different color are printed lighter (Greyscale).

I went to File - Page Setup Clicked on the Sheet tab and made sure that
Black and white was unchecked under print.

What am I missing?

Is there a Properties setting on the printer itself you can set to greyscale?

The printer is configured so that "Print all text as black" is disabled. So
it can print greyscale, which I check on another PC connected to this printer.
