Default ODBC setup won't save password

I am running Excel 2007 and am having a problem with an ODBC link. I link
into an Informix database, and for ages everything worked fine. You refreshed
the data and away it went. But now for some reason every time it brings up
the ODBC window because the password field is blank. I enter the password and
away it goes. But the next time you refresh it asks again.

I have checked the connection properties and it has the remember password
box checked, so why doesnt it remember it?
