How do I open a simple one-page Lotus 123 file in Excel 2007?
I am trying to open several old Lotus files (.123) to convert them to Excel
2007 but Excel says the files are not in a recognizable format. Any suggestions on how to get Excel to recognize the file type would be appreciated. |

in excel press the microsoft button, then go to excel options, advanced, go to the end in the right screen, you will see the lotus options check it "Richard" wrote: I am trying to open several old Lotus files (.123) to convert them to Excel 2007 but Excel says the files are not in a recognizable format. excel 07 has stopped supporting lotus altogeather. 1. find someone with lotus and save as a .xls file 2. find someone with excel 2000 to 2003 and save as a .xls flie note .123 lotus files are lotus 2k so i'm don't think xl 97 or earlier would recognize them. 3. look into aquiring open office. i understand that it supports lotus. regards FSt1 "Richard" wrote: I am trying to open several old Lotus files (.123) to convert them to Excel 2007 but Excel says the files are not in a recognizable format.
