Default Opening Symphony Files

I used to be able to open my Symphony files in excel. I did a microsoft
update today and now I get a message that says my registry policy is blocking
access to this file. Is this something new and how do I update my registry
file?

I tried Method 3 and it did not work so I tried method 1 and still no luck,
any other ideas

I'm too old for this
