Default How do I format line return in a cell?

You can insert a line return by holding down ALT while pressing ENTER (this
is called 'text wrap')
Sometimes you then nee to format the cell to permit text wrap
best wishes

Default How do I format line return in a cell?

Thank you. I got that part. I want to format all cells to automatically give
me a line return when I hit enter, not move to another cell. I want it to do
what it does in a table in Word.

Excel treat ENTER as "I have ended what I want in this cell"
If you format a cell (or column) width and type in it, and then set Text
Warp on, then the text will jump to a new line when you exceed the width.
