Default 2007 spreadsheet into 2003 Excel

Have some Excel spreadsheets sent to me generated in Excel 2007 and am trying
to work on them in Excel 2003. Import list does not clean up information, am
only getting garbage. Is their a translater for 2007 into 2003 format?
