error selecting cells -excel 2007
in excel 2007
when i'm in page layout view, there are certain cells that when i click on them, multiple cells become selected-- 3 or 4 at a time. they are NOT merged. other times, when i click on the same cells, only one cell is selected. when i'm in normal view, clicking on these same cells, only single cells select as clicked on as they should. any ideas? |

Hi,
Is it possible that you are clicking in the Header or Footer area of Page Layout? There really are no cells there, those are the Left, Center and Right headers and footers. -- If this helps, please click the Yes button. This is a bug in Excel 2007 when in page layout view.
Try changing the Zoom level slightly up or down a couple of percent.
