Advanced Filter - Criteria Range issue
Initially using 3 row criteria range, first with headers and last two for
criteria. Filter worked properly but now extracts all data from source unless I reduce the criteria to just one row of input. Tried clearing the fields and then filter again, still extracts all data. |

Advanced Filter - Criteria Range issue
How many columns are in the criteria range?
Do you have all the applicable criteria in each row? For example, if you have Product and Region columns in your criteria range, Region Product East Desk Chair Any record would be retrieved that is either a Desk in the East region, OR a chair in any region. With East in both rows: Region Product East Desk East Chair Any record would be retrieved that is either a Desk in the East region, OR a chair in the East region. Advanced Filter - Criteria Range issue
If you're including a blank row in the criteria range, that's what is
allowing all the records to pass through the filter. Either add all the same criteria in the second row, or don't include that row in the criteria range. That works, thanks. Couldn't find anything in Excel Bible or on-line that
addressed the issue. "Debra Dalgleish" wrote: If you're including a blank row in the criteria range, that's what is allowing all the records to pass through the filter.
