Hi everyone!
When I use Advanced Filter to filter out Unique records and copy them to a new location, it copies only the first record and only the first column of the data. I tried with the heading-row included and excluded but the result doesn't change. When I apply the same strategy to another worksheet with the same headings but different data, it reports an error "The extract range has a missing or illegal field name". I think, I am not complying with some requirements of the feature. Please help me, in a bit detail, so as to get me out of this problem. -- Technical User |

Hi Abassi,
Sounds like maybe one of your columns is a formula returning a result. Try selecting the column with the formula, copy it and Paste SpecialValues in place. That will convert your formulae to values. Does Advanced Filter behave properly now? HTH Martin "Abbasi" wrote in message ... Hi everyone! You are right, Martin. I have formulae in some columns. The error message is
very much mis-leading keeping the Fieldnames in focus. Anyhow, thank you very much and have a very good time -- Technical User "MartinW" wrote: Hi Abassi, Sounds like maybe one of your columns is a formula returning a result. Yes, you are right about the error messages. Excel
is a fantastic program but there are many parts to it that make me want to throttle it's creators. <bg Glad it worked out, Martin "Abbasi" wrote in message ... You are right, Martin.
