Default Text in merged cells is spilling over

I have 11 rows and 13 columns merged (and Wrapped Text).....the text entered
is 2683 characters long. THe text wraps fine until character 1242 then the
rest spills out to the right so it is not visible. If I go in and edit I can
see all the text....how can I get this to fit. I tried Alt Enter to move to
next line that did not work

Did you try adding alt-enters every 80-100 characters?

It's a common long standing problem. I don't have any insight why that's so.
