Default Expanding Conditional Format Rule to entire Column

I have a CF rule set up as follows:

if A1 = "Paid", then cell A5 is formatted.

How do I expand this rule to encompass to the entire column respectively?

Default Expanding Conditional Format Rule to entire Column

Copy cell A5
Select the range you need to apply.
Right clickPaste Special
Select Formats. OK//
