Hi

if you'ld like to tell us what you're trying to achieve here we might be
able to come up with a useful answer because at the moment my answers to
your two questions would be:
How do I make my Excel Workbook a databse? - you can make an excel
"database" in a worksheet by putting headings in row 1 for your fields,
then typing each record as a row underneath the headings without leaving
any fully blank rows or columns, you can not however, make an excel
workbook a database.
And how do I get it compatible with Visual Basic 6.0? - AFAIK it already is

See
http://erlandsendata.no/english/inde...nvbadacwbdbado
on the ADO approach.

But don't do it. Spreadsheets are not made for this. They are too small and
they are not relational. Use an Access mdb file instead.

HTH. best wishes Harald
