How is it possible keep the formula bar on at all times because it disappears
after menu actions or if one goes to a different spreadsheet file. Having to constantly click the formula bar box on the View menu is tedious and frustrating. |

You didn't tell us which version you are working with.
In Excel 2007, open teh office button, select Excel Options button, choose Advanced and go to teh Display group-- check the Formula bar option In earlier versions the option is on teh tools menuOptions... I don't recall which tab this is on.
