Default Creating macro to use on different workbooks

I would like to create a macro that I can use on different workbooks - I
have to create a new spreadsheet every day (exporting data as *csv and
converting to .xls but the information is similar - I have read other answers
and I don't really understand the replys (and have tried saving my last
workbook with the macro in as Addin*,xls file to save the macro for further
use but that didn't work)
Thank you in advance for any replies

You should not be saving this as .xls. Please refer the below link
