prohibit saving excel file
Rita,
Save it as an Excel Template (with an .xlt extension) - it is one of the options under the filetype in the save as dialog. When someone opens it, any save defaults to a regular workbook. HTH, Bernie MS Excel MVP "Rita" wrote in message ... We have a master excel file that I do not want overwritten. I always want it saved under a different name. How do I do this? Would I make it "read only"? Thanks. |
