Default Some users don't need the "message space" to explain their iss

I stand corrected. They've spoken of this for years, but it never seemed to
have been implemented in a way that actually worked.

People should forget about suggestions and ratings

I think MS actually uses the ratings for something. Responders who get
rated as having answered the question reach certain levels and I guess
this could even lead to being awarded MVP.

On the web interface there are 4 recognized levels of contributors:
Bronze, Silver, Gold, MVP.

Conclusion: this is a sugestion for microsoft ( the paid people ).
Everyone is free to hit the I AGREE or I DISAGRE bottom.
If they are not paying you, then try to go to the next question and
forget
about this
XLFanatico.

Microsoft does not give a lot of attention to these groups. AFAIK no
action has ever been taken on a post marked as a suggestion, in fact, I
doubt anyone records these. I doubt anything is done with all the ratings
given to these posts on the MS web interface for these news groups. This
interface is not even the way most readers get here, since this interface
is among the least user friendly that exist for accessing these groups.

People should forget about suggestions and ratings. People should ask
questions as clearly and concisely as possible, with only a descriptive
label in the title (something better than "Help With Excel" because many
potential helpers skip such posts). People should answer questions as
clearly as possible.
