Default How can I move data from a row range to a column range

I have random data in rows eg. A1 to A20. I want to move all data to columns
A-T as follows: data from A2 to cell B, data from A3 to cell C, data from A4
to cell D, etc. Or vice versa from columns to rows. What is the quickest way
of acheiving this other than the laborous cut and paste of each cell
individually? Many thanks for your help.
