How can I move data from a row range to a column range
I have random data in rows eg. A1 to A20. I want to move all data to columns
A-T as follows: data from A2 to cell B, data from A3 to cell C, data from A4 to cell D, etc. Or vice versa from columns to rows. What is the quickest way of acheiving this other than the laborous cut and paste of each cell individually? Many thanks for your help. |

Try this:
Select the range A2:A20 Goto the menu EditCopy Select cell B1 Goto the menu EditPaste SpecialTransposeOK Delete the data in A2:A20 Follow the same technique to go from a row to a column. -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "Josh W" wrote in message ... Thanks Biff, perfect. I noticed that the paste section must be outside the of
the original selected taste, otherwise you get an error message. "T. Yeah, they also don't let you do a cuttranspose, either. That would save
the extra step of having to delete the original data. Thanks for the feedback! -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "Josh W" wrote in message ... Thanks Biff, perfect.
