Default Mystery Black line appearing around a group of fields

I'm using Excel 2007. There are no borders applied to the group of fields but
when I go to print (or print preview) there is a black line on the outer edge
of the page.
I have checked the print area is deselcted. The black line appears around
the page (all pages if the data spans multiple pages).
Anybody got any idea where the line is coming from and how to get rid of it?
Thanks
