When I drag an alphanumeric cell to copy it the numeric values in the cell
increment by one (1) in each successive cell. Example, when dragging a cell with Payroll 2008 entered, I'll get Payroll 2009, Payroll 2010, etc. Works the same with dates. Sometimes this is helpful, sometimes not. How do I turn this on/off if I want to copy the contents of the alphanumeric down or across with the value unchanged? Thanks Bill |

Keep CTRL key pressed while dragging. Actually it can be pressed only at the
time of releasing the left mouse button. "billbrandi" wrote: When I drag an alphanumeric cell to copy it the numeric values in the cell increment by one (1) in each successive cell.
