I am using Office 2007. When I try to open an Excel file outside of Excel
(Outlook, Windows Explorer, etc.), I get an error message stating that the file cannot be found. It doesn't matter whether I saved a file on my hard drive or the file was sent to me via email. I can only open Excel files within Excel. |

You are suffering from a common problem that lots of people have complained
about. The workbook is open, just not visible. One way to see it is to click on the Office button and start to open another workbook, but then just dismiss the dialog. You may see your workbook open after this. (Ctrl-O, then escape may work???) Currently, there isn't a fix--just workarounds. Paul wrote: I am using Office 2007.
