Select the range of data including the headings. InsertNameDefine. Give it a name like MyContacts Save the workbook. Open Outlook and FileImport/ExportImport from another programMS Excel Browse to the Excel file and select it then follow your nose through selecting the Contacts folder and mapping the fields. Alternative to naming the range is to save the Excel workbook as a *.CSV file and import that into Outlook. Ron,
you responded:Select the range of data including the headings. InsertNameDefine. Give it a name like MyContacts Save the workbook. I am not understanding InsertNameDefine??? I feel I am close but every time I go to outlook and try to import the contacts from the excel spread sheet it says I need to define the fields. the top row of my spread sheet is labels from outlook 2007 contact so I am not sure what I am missing. Any feedback would be appreciated. "Ron de Bruin" wrote: Gord Dibben posted this: Select the range of data including the headings. InsertNameDefine. Give it a name like MyContacts Save the workbook. Maybe saving as *.csv would be better?
