Default Read only file is NOT Read only

Hello I have an excel 2002 file"Monthly Reports" and is not saved as read
only. WHen I opened the file today it reads "copy of Month reports (read
Only)" How do I correct this? I checked and the file is not read only....
how do I correct this? Is the file corrupted? thanks

try save as | save it in same location & same file name |
