Default Excel Tabs continuously disappear

At times when I am working in Excel (2003), the sheet tabs disappear but
whenever I reboot they reappear. How can I stop this from occuring?

Hi,

Tabs usually disappear when the screen is not maximized although you can
turn them off under Tools, Options, View tab, Sheet tabs.
