Is there a way to fill in multiple cells based on a block entry of time.

eg.
A B C D E F
00:00 06:30 06:30 06:45 06:45 08:45
09:00 13:30 08:45 09:00 13:30 16:00
16:15 24:00 16:00 16:15

This would represent a 24 hour period. In most cases, there would be as
many as 12 entries per column.

I have set up a sheet already that has the information layed out in rows, I
want to be able to easily enter the time information, and then fill in the
correct information based on the 3 criteria listed above.

I hope I understand what you are getting at. Could you not make b1 a cell
that is headed 00:00 - 06:30. C1 6:30 - 6:45 etc so that the cells become a
block of time. Down col A I think you have names.
Once all names and time zones established set conditional formatting so that
- say - N = Not working (fill and text colour red), W = working (Fill & text
green), B = break (blue)
So now all you do is input w for when John is working 00:00 - 06:30 etc
Let me know how it goes or get back if I'm on the wrong track.

Could you give us an example. With the data you showed, what do you want to
enter and what result do you want to get and where?

The info that I gave as an example would be the easy entry. From there, I
would like to fill in a 96 cell breakdown of the day.

starting at 00:00-00:15-00:30-00:45-01:00-01:15-01:30-01:45- right thru 23:45.
The work times are not always constant

0:15 0:30 0:45 1:00 1:15 1:30 1:45
n n w w b w n

but I would enter
0:15-0:30 - n
0:45-1:00 - w
1:15 - b
1:30 - w
1:45 - n

Hi,

I now have 3 different layouts of the data? Remember I don't know what your
doing, so please explain it very simply. What do you already have in and
where? What do you want out and how do you want it to look. I sure it make
all the sense in the world to you but not to me.

And then there is the comment "but the work times are not always constant"
Please explain. I know when I understand your data I will be able to give
you a solution if one exists.
