Default Percentage of deviance..two cells!

Hi - total brain freeze.

If I have two cells, say cells C1 and C20 - and in C1 is a projected output
figure, for example 19,000 and in C20 is the eventual action output which was
19,568 - how would I go about popping in a formula to C21 to show the
difference in percent between the forecast amount and the actual figure?!

Try this:

=(C20-C1)/C1

Format the cell as percentage.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Formatted as % this would show your actual to be 3.46% over budget

=(C20-C1)/C1
