Default Excel acting weird

Hello,

I am getting some weird behavior out of one of my systems. I have a
user that opens an Excel workbook, minimizes it, opens another
workbook, and the workbook does not display. I cannot find it
anywhere, but the workbook is there, because I can see it under the
Windows Menu option. The workbook is not hidden nor the sheets. This
only happens on certain files.

The only way I can get the workbook to display is by maximizing the
first workbook, then going to the Window Menu option and selecting the
hidden workbook. The file she is trying to open was completed in a
previous version of Excel (we are on 2003, the file was in 97), but I
do not know if this relavent info.

Is there anyone who resolved this problem?

I'd use window|arrange|tiled
and resize the way I like.

I'm guessing that the window was just off the visible screen. When you maximize
the window (for the activeworkbook, then swap to the off the screen workbook,
the new workbook will show up in that maximized window.

This seems to happen to more people who share the workbook with people who use
laptops. Sometimes, the displays are different enough so that the window
appears nicely for some, but not for others.
