Default Tab Key acting up in Excel 2003

When i open a new workbook and enter text into the first cell and then try to
tab to the next cell the cursor jumps to column L. No matter which excel
file i open it now jumps multiple columns instead of going to the next cell
over.

ToolsOptionsTransition.

Uncheck Transition Navigation Keys checkbox.
