Default Press enter to return to first column

Hi there

I hope someone can help. I want to be able to press enter and return to the
first column. Trouble is it works if I TAB across but does not if I arrow. I
have been into Excel options and ensured "Move selection after Enter" is
ticked and is selected as down.
Can this be done or do I just have to TAB across not arrow?

Thanks
Sarah

Say you are in H1 and then press ENTER.

Would you like to go to A1 or A2?

Yes sort of
It works if I Tab from A1 to H1, (it will return to A2) but not if I arrow
across to H1. Is there a setting I can change so I can set both to return to
A next row down???

Thanks

The arrow won't work without the sheet being protected and the columns to
the right of last column entry being locked.

i.e. Unlock columns A:H

Lock all other columns.

Protect the sheet and the rightarrow wiil take you across row 1 then down to
A2

Use the Tab key to move across then hit ENTER key to go back to start column
one row down as you are currently doing.

Although you could use a named range.

Select A1:G100 and give it a name.

Set your ENTER key to move right.

In namebox select the name and start entering data.
