I would like to have an underline under my number that is just one character
more than the number. If I use the underline feature, it only underlines the number and if I use the border feature, the whole cell is underlined. |

If your number is a real number, you can't do what you want. However, if you
don't mind your number being text, then format the cell it is in as Text, add a space after the number and then underline the number plus the space you added after it. -- Rick (MVP - Excel) "megan" wrote in message ... Suppose you have a number 1234 in A1
Replace it with =1234&T(" ") or =Concatenate(1234," ") and underline You can still use the values in the cell in numerical formulae.
