Someone in our office has excel 2007, but when they open an excel 2003 file
off our server, they cannot unlock the spreadsheets (there are 52). The office assistants from different precincts uses this file (it is on the server so everyone can see it) and can make changes by doing a control z (macro set up to unlock all the sheets) and then control s (macro to select all the sheets) and then a control x (another macro to lock all the sheets). A person in our IT who is creating the 2009 year for this has excel 2007, but she says she should be able to work on the spreadsheets, but it will not let her unlock them. Any idea? |

Can you show us the Ctrl-z code so we can try it?

Sounds to me that macros are being disabled. Has the Excel 2007 checked his
macro security settings? -- Jim "Pammy" wrote in message ... | Someone in our office has excel 2007, but when they open an excel 2003 file | off our server, they cannot unlock the spreadsheets (there are 52). Another possible explanation is that VBA was not installed with Office 2007.
It is a optional item that is not selected by default. If the user can run other macros that is obviously not the problem but if not he should re-run Office setup and check VBA under Shared Features. -- Jim "Pammy" wrote in message ... | Someone in our office has excel 2007, but when they open an excel 2003 file | off our server, they cannot unlock the spreadsheets (there are 52).
