Default Need a well formulated spreadshhet

I have these reports I RUN EVERY NIGHT AND AT THE END OF EACH NIGHT i
MANUALLY TYPE WHEN THE REPORT STARTED AND WHEN IT COMNPLETED. THERE HAS GOT
TO BE A EASIER WAY TO ENTER DATA

When you say "run", do you mean you create a new workbook with a new filename?
If so, you can use a Date formula. Click on Insert Function to view the
list of formulas available. Select the "Date & Time" category and choose the
one you want.

Perhaps you mean this,

When you open the file, click in the started cell
and type Ctrl+; then a space then Ctrl+Shift+:
That will input the current date and time into that cell.
Before you close the file do the same in the completed cell.
Don't forget to save before you close.
