Need a well formulated spreadshhet
I have these reports I RUN EVERY NIGHT AND AT THE END OF EACH NIGHT i
MANUALLY TYPE WHEN THE REPORT STARTED AND WHEN IT COMNPLETED. THERE HAS GOT TO BE A EASIER WAY TO ENTER DATA |

When you say "run", do you mean you create a new workbook with a new filename?
If so, you can use a Date formula. Click on Insert Function to view the list of formulas available. Select the "Date & Time" category and choose the one you want. Perhaps you mean this,
When you open the file, click in the started cell and type Ctrl+; then a space then Ctrl+Shift+: That will input the current date and time into that cell. Before you close the file do the same in the completed cell. Don't forget to save before you close. HTH Martin "SexyDaisySix" wrote in message ...
