I am using Excel 2007, and having a problem w/ a PivotTable displaying the
correct list of items from which someone can choose to filter. I am building the PivotTable directly from a SQL view. The specific problem I am having is values in a particular field are still showing as available when pulling up the filter on a field to do a manual filter. For example, the data used to have a value in that field called "orange". However, "orange" no longer exists in the SQL database b/c it us updated to "orange items". So now when you pull down the filter list to do a manual filter you see both "orange" and "orange items". Of course if you select the specific value "orange" the table shows no data, but in reality that value no longer exists. However, I cannot find a way to update my pivottable where it updates the values in the particular field to no longer show values that no longer exist in the SQL view. In order to fix the problem, I have of course refreshed the table, remove all filters, remove the field off of the pivottable and added it back. None of these steps rectified the problem. Does anyone know a fix? |
