Hi all,
I need to lock the header columns of a spresadsheet/database and so that they cannot be altered (resized or deleted etc) I know I can do that by locking the range and then protecting the worksheet. But if someone else wants to sort the worksheet by any column then it has to be unprotected. Is there a work around so that the column headers can be locked without protecting the worksheet? Any help would be appreciated. Fatwilly |

When you protect the sheet, there are a bunch of checkboxes that most people
ignore. If you scroll down the checkboxes, one of them is SORT, which will allow the user to sort the data. They do have to highlight the cells of 'unprotected' data they wish to sort. -- John C "Fatwilly" wrote: Hi all, I need to lock the header columns of a spresadsheet/database and so that they cannot be altered (resized or deleted etc) I know I can do that by locking the range and then protecting the worksheet.
