Hi Chip, Thanks for your post. I'm running into a prob. though as i am on Office '07. I cannot find the option types that you describe in the ribbon/start button within the program 'Excel Options'. Any ideas? Thanks again! "Chip Pearson" wrote: You can turn off the automatic prompt if you so desire. Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, then the General tab. There, uncheck the "Prompt for documents" property. You can also create a new workbook, fill out the properties (and nothing else) and save that workbook as a template (xlt) in the XLStart directory (typically c:\program files\microsoft office\office11\xlstart) with the name "book.xlt". New workbooks will be created from book.xlt and therefore will have the default values for the document properties already filled out. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Excel Product Group Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com (email on web site) "abet_72" wrote in message ...
