Default File formats : XLSB versus XLSM

If you were to suggest a standard for other users to follow, would you
pick one over the other? Why?

Can anyone really see a performance benefit using XLSB over XLSM?

I have found that XLSB saves the same file using less space than XLSM.
What has been your experience?

thanks,
DSH
