Default converting pdf to excel, no delimiters

I have a pdf file that looks like it could be a straight copy / drop into
excel but the data does not come over cleanly. Even the pdf "export to
table" function isn't maintaning the integrity of the columns. Any
suggestions? I've tried the "indirect" function but some information that
should be in the same cell / column wraps to the cell below, so it's largely
non-standard. Any thoughts are welcome. I'm on Adobe 8.0 and Excel 2003
SP3. Thanks!!

It doesn't look like you can do that with Excel alone....

Rick - thanks for the info. I did try the "Able2Extract" product this
morning and it told me the PDF file was damaged - not sure about that but it
was a total non-starter. I'll try the MetaData and report back on progress.
Thanks again.

I have zero experience with trying to use PDF files in Excel, but I note
that the Excel version the link I posted mentions is 2003, so if you are
using 2007, Investintech (Able2Extract's authoring company) may not have
updated their software to account for the new format. Either way (you are
using XL2003 or earlier; or you are using XL2007), I would write directly to
the company and ask them what how you should proceed.

First, I tried the MetaData and have *no* clue how that thing is supposed to
work! Everything is in the .swf format so I couldn't figure out how to open
anything - it was mucho frustrating. I went back to Able2 and did contact
them, I attached the PDF I'm trying to open to see if they can determine why
their program thinks the file is damaged. Now we wait!

Thanks again - if this thing works, it will be *awesome* - the file I'm
trying to convert is 112 pages of data so it would be a significant timesaver
to have a utility to convert it neatly. I'll update as soon as there's more
info.
