Default how do I remove the automatic break lines in text to columns?

datatext to columnsfixed widthnext puts a column break after each
space. This just started. How do I stop it and be able to set my own column
break?

If you hover your mouse over the break line then double click that will
remove the break line. To set your own break line just point to where you
want it and single click.
