An .xlt file is just a regular file. Copy it as you would any other file. To
use it as a template for Excel it should be stored in the template directory which is ususally C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates Tyro "Glenn" wrote in message ... when you save a document as a template. is there a way to copy it to other computers, so they may use it as a template also |

Another option is to get XLT file to all those who need it with the following
instructions. OPen the file, immediately SAVE AS select TEmplate as the file type( this will place the template in the correct folder, without any guesswork) Close the file. I just used this process for over a dozen users, it was easier than trying to have them navigate to the proper folder during a copy operation. Same way you would copy any file.
If on a network, you could prpbably just move the template to a common folder for all to access. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Tue, 26 Feb 2008 11:29:00 -0800, Glenn wrote: when you save a document as a template. is there a way to copy it to other computers, so they may use it as a template also |
