when you save a document as a template. is there a way to copy it to other
computers, so they may use it as a template also

An .xlt file is just a regular file. Copy it as you would any other file. To
use it as a template for Excel it should be stored in the template directory
which is ususally C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates

Another option is to get XLT file to all those who need it with the following
instructions.
OPen the file, immediately SAVE AS select TEmplate as the file type( this
will place the template in the correct folder, without any guesswork)
Close the file.
I just used this process for over a dozen users, it was easier than trying
to have them navigate to the proper folder during a copy operation.

Same way you would copy any file.

If on a network, you could prpbably just move the template to a common folder
for all to access.
