Folders are normally always listed first so you may continue navigating
the path.(unless of course you set it to reverse sort on name) As to the
modified date listing simply set it to that, then hold down CTRL while
you close the dialog box with the "x", to save that "setting". So in a
nutshell, Click "Name" to correct that sort order, then "Modified" then
"CTRL" click "X".

here is what i did. i pushed the file open command, the dialog box opened,
i right clicked in the middle of the box, (on noe particular file), and chose
the view option and selected the "list" option, and chose the arrange icons
and "date" option. no matter witch options i chose, it always have the
folders at the end and the files first.
