Are you sure that the file was opened?
If you do file|Print preview, can you see stuff? If yes, then maybe the sheet window is just off the visible screen. Try: Window|Arrange|tiled (and resize the way you like). If the file is not opened, then... Sometimes one of these works when you're having trouble with double clicking on the file in windows explorer: Tools|Options|General|Ignore other applications (uncheck it) --- or --- Close Excel and Windows Start Button|Run excel /unregserver then Windows Start Button|Run excel /regserver The /unregserver & /regserver stuff resets some of the windows registry to excel's factory defaults. Maybe one of these will work for you. JoButler wrote: If I click on a file to open, it will open with no data showing.
