All i want to do is type 1-10 in a cell as a number range not a date but it
always turns into jan-10 or 1/10/08 i dont want a date i want 1 thru 10 but would rather not have that much space taken up. |

Format the cell as Text, that should work.

You can't have that treated as a range in one cell, but if you precede it by
an apostrophe, or format the cell as text before you enter the number, then it will stay as text and won't be converted to a date. -- David Biddulph "SKJ18" wrote in message ...
